Our Brookfield Properties’ CNWS Project Team is delighted to welcome October and share updates from September! Over the past month, our team engaged with the community and stakeholders by hosting a topic-specific workshop on parks and open space to gather feedback. We also provided a quarterly update on project progress and recent engagement to the Concord City Council.

September 17 CNWS Topic-Specific Workshop:
On Tuesday, September 17, 2024, our team hosted the first topic-specific workshop on parks and open space. Based on feedback received at our June Open House, parks and open space was ranked as a priority project topic that the community was interested to learn more about at future CNWS events.
During the workshop, participants provided feedback across stations on what features and uses they would like to see in future parks and open spaces at the CNWS site. During the event, we also asked participants to share their favorite Concord parks and open spaces, as well their highest priority regarding parks and open space for future Concord communities. Participants shared excitement for future bike and pedestrian trails, shaded gathering areas, dog parks, and uses like water features and public restrooms. October 8 Brookfield CNWS Project Update to Concord City Council:
On Tuesday, October 8, Brookfield Properties presented a project update to the Concord City Council during a public session. This was part of our commitment to providing quarterly project updates to the project’s Local Reuse Authority (Concord City Council) and the Concord community.
